Why We Love this Recipe

Versatile – a powdered ranch has so many uses. Of course, it makes a killer low carb salad dressing. But, it can also be used as a seasoning. Use it in savoury bakes, to coat chicken or fish, or in keto crackers.

Low carb – This super easy ranch dressing dry mix is less than 1g net carbs per serve.

Everyday ingredients – Made with everyday ingredients found in most pantries. All simple keto supermarket ingredients.

Quick and easy – just mix it and use as needed.

Thermomix friendly – it can be mixed easily in your ThermomixMagimix or food processor in no time and easy cleanup.

The Ingredients

Scroll to the bottom of this post for the amount of each ingredient needed to make the keto ranch seasoning.

Keto Ranch Seasoning ingredients on a plate.

Like I mentioned above, all you need is a handful of pantry ingredients.

Dried parsley – found in the seasoning aisle in the supermarket. If you find an old bottle in the pantry check your used by date first.

Onion Powder – powdered deliciousness in my opinion. Check that it is powder and not onion salt. Yes, these are different.

Garlic powder – as above, make sure it is powdered garlic not garlic salt or granules.

Dried dill – I love this stuff in this seasoning. It works so well with protein and so many vegetables too.

Dried chives – if you don’t have and want to use fresh, just add to whatever you are cooking or mixing. Don’t add any fresh chives to the dried herbs unless you are using the powdered ranch all in one go.

Oh, gosh this is really hard to make. lol.

Tips for Success

How to store ranch dressing powder?

I store the ranch seasoning in a clean, dry, airtight jar. This keeps it fresh and reduces clumping.

How long does it last?

Not long if you are like me and use it in everything. Haha! Seriously though it would keep for up to 3 months in the pantry. this of course depends on how old the herbs and spices you add to the mixture are.

Here are just a few recipes the ranch powdered seasoning can be used in. I should mention that I did use ranch seasoning A LOT in my cookbook The Healthy Family keto Cookbook. If you are interested in more recipes using keto ranch then check it out.

I’ve just made a huge batch of this, using cups instead of tbsp (so 16x the recipe) we love it! I buy my herbs and spices in bulk for some of your recipes and it is absolutely worth it!

I love this seasoning mix! Perfect ratios. I use it to make my own ranch dressing/dip with avocado oil mayo and sheep yogurt (I can’t have cow’s milk products). I use 1/3 of the former to 2/3 of the latter, the yogurt gives it that tang without buttermilk. So easy to whip up, and so much tastier than anything store bought. Thank you!

Oh, what a lovely seasoning. Since my family doesn’t particularly like dill, what would you recommend as a substitute?

    1. Megan Mad Creations Hub

Just leave it out and add any extra of the other herbs.
