Homemade Ranch Seasoning
Ranch seasoning is a game-changer in the kitchen, offering a quick and easy way to boost the flavour of your favourite dishes. From ranch-roasted vegetables, ranch cheese balls or ranch-inspired dips, this versatile, and incredible delicious blend can be sprinkled on everything from popcorn to mashed cauliflower. Perfect for low-carb, keto, and family-friendly recipes, ranch seasoning brings a delicious twist to every bite. It is a huge favourite of mine and you will find plenty of recipes using ranch seasoning right here and in my cookbooks.
Why We Love this Recipe

Everyday ingredients – Made with everyday ingredients found in most pantries. All simple keto supermarket ingredients.
Quick and easy – just mix it and use as needed.
Thermomix friendly – it can be mixed easily in your Thermomix, Magimix or food processor in no time and easy cleanup.

The Ingredients
Scroll to the bottom of this post for the amount of each ingredient needed to make the keto ranch seasoning.
Like I mentioned above, all you need is a handful of pantry ingredients.
Dried parsley – found in the seasoning aisle in the supermarket. If you find an old bottle in the pantry, check the used by date first.
Onion Powder – powdered deliciousness in my opinion. Check that it is powder and not onion salt. Yes, these are different.
Garlic powder – as above, make sure it is powdered garlic not garlic salt or granules.
Dried dill – I love this stuff in this seasoning. It works so well with protein and so many vegetables too.
Dried chives – if you don’t have and want to use fresh, just add to whatever you are cooking or mixing. Don’t add any fresh chives to the dried herbs unless you are using the powdered ranch all in one go.
How to Make It
Oh, gosh, this is really hard to make. lol.
Step 1. Find a bowl. It can be pretty, like mine pictured if that makes you happy. Add all the ingredients into the bowl.
Step 2. Mix it and use it as needed. Super simple.

Ways to Use Ranch Seasoning
Ranch seasoning mix is a kitchen staple that adds a burst of flavor to all sorts of dishes. Here are a few tasty ways to use it in your recipes:
- Ranch Roasted Vegetables: Toss your favorite veggies—like carrots, zucchini and yellow squash, or Brussels sprouts—in olive oil and ranch seasoning before roasting for a savoury side dish with a kick.
- Ranch Casseroles: Add ranch seasoning to hearty beef casserole, Mississippi Pot Roast, or Tuna Casserole for soem extra deliciousness!
- Ranch Dip: Mix ranch seasoning with sour cream, Greek yogurt, or Ranch Cottage Cheese Dip, for a quick and easy dip that pairs perfectly with veggies, chips, or chicken wings.
- Ranch Bagels: Add the seasoning to Fathead Dough, Keto Bagels, Low Carb Bread, or focaccia for a tasty kick.
- Ranch Mashed Cauliflower: Stir ranch seasoning into mashed cauliflower for a creamy, low-carb alternative to mashed potatoes with a tasty twist.
These are just a few examples of how ranch seasoning mix can transform everyday ingredients into something extra special.
Tips for Success
I store the ranch seasoning in a clean, dry, airtight jar. This keeps it fresh and reduces clumping.
Not long if you are like me and use it in everything. Haha! Seriously though it would keep for up to 3 months in the pantry. this of course depends on how old the herbs and spices you add to the mixture are.

I’ve just made a huge batch of this, using cups instead of tbsp (so 16x the recipe) we love it! I buy my herbs and spices in bulk for some of your recipes and it is absolutely worth it!
I love this seasoning mix! Perfect ratios. I use it to make my own ranch dressing/dip with avocado oil mayo and sheep yogurt (I can’t have cow’s milk products). I use 1/3 of the former to 2/3 of the latter, the yogurt gives it that tang without buttermilk. So easy to whip up, and so much tastier than anything store bought. Thank you!You are very welcome ANNA
