Salted caramel shakes are everything I crave in a sweet treat:
- dangerously drinkable with that perfect blend of salty and sweet;
- rich, indulgent, and as satisfying as it looks – and packed with protein;
- it has that creamy, dreamy consistency that makes every sip feel like a luxurious treat rather than a heavy dessert;
- it’s smooth, decadent, and just the right amount of satisfying…
The best part? This shake is packed with flavour while staying true to the egg fast rules, so you can enjoy it guilt-free. And since it’s made without adding ice, every sip is pure salted caramel goodness, undiluted and irresistible!

- Substitute caramel topping for sugar-free chocolate topping or sugar-free maple syrup.
- Leave the eggs out and add a couple of scoops of whey protein isolate, collagen, or egg white protein.
- Use pasteurised eggs. Handled properly, pasteurised eggs, are safe to consume raw.
- Pour into ice cube trays or 1/2 a cup ice block moulds once blended and freeze them for a tasty frozen treat.

Would love to know if just egg whites would be okay and where on earth to get pasteurised eggs in Australia haha!?
-
You can just use the egg white for the protein if preferred but you are losing the fat from the yolk

I’ve been making the egg fast shake from another blog. I’m curious to know why the lemon juice in this recipe?

It helps neutralize the egg against salmonella for those concerned about pasteurizing.

I love that all the ingredients can be readily accessed at the supermarket. I didnβt even taste the egg in it at all, just sugar free caramel deliciousness.-
