Nigella Seeds – I do buy these from local Indian food suppliers and they are also available at Elite Health Supplements. Black sesame can be substituted in the everything bagel recipe, but I do prefer the flavour of the nigella seeds.

Onion Granules – flaked dried onion are often found in the larger jars of Masterfoods spices and seasonings in the spice aisle of the supermarket.

To make it simply mix in a bowl and store in an airtight jar.

Ingredients

  • 1 tbsp sesame seeds
  • 1 tbsp black sesame seeds or nigella seeds
  • 1 tbsp poppy seeds
  • 1 tbsp onion granules
  • 1 tsp celery salt
  • 1 tsp garlic powder or garlic granules
  • 1 tbsp sea salt

Instructions

CONVENTIONAL METHOD

  • Mix all ingredients together and store in small jar.

THERMAL METHOD

  • Place all the ingredients into the mixer; mix 5 sec/speed 4. Store in a small jar.

    I have been using the everything but the bagel seasoning for quite some time . It’s great on lots of things. Great flavour and just elevates breads and of course bagels. The best part is I had everything in my pantry to make it .
    Do yourself a favour and try this everything but the bagel seasoning.
    You will never buy it again from the shops because it’s so easy to make your own.
