My 5-minute Easy Keto Gravy recipe needs just two ingredients and adds another layer of rich flavour to your meal, with just 1g net carbs!
Why You Will Love This Recipe
Quick and Easy – This recipe couldn’t be simpler, and is ready in just a few minutes. It is dairy free and delicious!
Keto-Pantry Ingredients – Nothing other than basic keto pantry ingredients required!
It’s dairy free! I constantly get asked for more dairy free keto recipes. This delicious low carb sauce has no butter or cream. You can add it if you want but it doesn’t need it. If you would like extra fats use extra dripping from turkey, chicken, beef etc.
Versatile – Use whichever broth you prefer; or match it to the meal you will add the gravy to enhance the depth of flavour. By increasing or decreasing the thickening agent, you get the thickness you prefer as well!
Thermomix Friendly – making my low carb gravy in the Thermomix is super easy too, and is a great basic recipe to add to my collection of keto Thermomix recipes.
The Ingredients
Keep reading for more details on the ingredients, substitutes and instructions on how to make my Easy Ketogenic Gravy.
There are just 2 simple ingredients you will need:
Broth – You can use any broth you prefer; my bone broth makes a delicious gravy!
Glucomannan powder or xanthan gum – these keto friendly thickening agents will usually be part of your keto pantry staples. Both help to thicken gravy. Seeing we don’t eat cornstarch either of these ingredients will thicken without adding extra carbs.
Collagen is added as an optional extra. I like how it helps to thicken naturally and adds an almost creamy texture to the gravy.
How To Make Easy Keto Gravy
You can choose to make the gravy in a saucepan on a stove top, or in a Thermomix, Magimix or similar thermal-cooker.

Chef’s Tip:
Keep whisking continuously if making this in a saucepan, and don’t leave the gravy unattended while on the heat. It helps to keep the consistency smooth if you are whisking and taking note of the thickening.

Step 1: If you are making this to accompany a roast, pour any pan juices from the roast into a small saucepan. Add the broth and glucomannan powder.

Step 2. Bring to a simmer and whisk until it thickens to a perfect keto gravy.
How to Make Gravy In a Thermomix

Hot Tips & FAQs
This recipe is suitable to be made in a larger batch if preferred. You can double the recipe if you have a large family.
The gravy can be stored in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 2 days. You can also freeze it, in individual portions if preferred.
I guess it depends on what you think is low carb. Most packet regular gravies are around 3-5g net cabrs per serve. They do however have lots of additives and thickeners that are not considered keto friendly by most.
This recipe does give you the optionof glucomannan powder. It is my preferred way to thicken. Other thickeners can also include gelatin (which works well) and by adding more collagen powder as well. You can reduce the gravy and or add mashed vegetable or cream to thicken it.
