These Keto Filled Donuts are my very BEST donut recipe to date!

I am not yanking your chain or just trying to sell the recipe… it’s FREE! haha!

No, but seriously the donuts are crispy on the outside, light and fudgy on the inside, and this custard oh my!  This weekend I am so using it for a new recipe that will have a lot of people really happy.  

Anyway, definitely try this recipe, its one to pin for later or make this weekend.  I made it today because it is World Donut Day!  So why not make some keto donuts.  Hmmm kenuts? tonuts?  ketonuts?  haha.

Super easy and tasty and again using that delightful golden sweetener from Sukrin Australia

For some exciting and delicious alternative topping flavours Marcia Burgmann has created the following amazing donuts using the base recipe plus her own twist,

Keto Filled Donuts – New Flavours

Raspberry & White Chocolate
30g white cacao butter
10g coconut oil
Melt 1 minute in the microwave & allowed to cool to a soft spreadable butter like consistency combined with approx 30g of the donut custard.
This will be more than you need for a single donut.
Decorate with fresh/ frozen raspberries & freeze dried raspberries (I didn’t weigh these so will have to guess sorry).
Raspberry Donut
Spread with low carb crunchy peanut butter (40g)
Add crushed almonds and pistachios  (5g each)
Nutty donut
Chai Spice
Ice with 10g melted cacao butter & 2g chai spice.
Cool in freezer to a spreadable consistency
Dust with extra chai spice
Chai Spice donut
Chilli Chocolate
20g 85% dark chocolate
As much chilli spice as you enjoy
Decorate with chopped dried chilli

Jaffa Recipe

20g Well Naturally no added sugar dark chocolate melted

Orange extract/ oil to taste

Top with orange zest

Pink Himalayan Salted Caramel

Syringe caramel  into the doughnut AND drizzle over top

Dust with pink Himalayan salt

This recipe is even better than it looks the donuts are fudgy yet oh so light. The custard a hit out of the ball park. Ahhh mazing!

Caramel Custard



  • Preheat oven to 170℃. Spray 18 hole donut tray with olive oil spray


  • Add butter and chocolate to Thermomix
  • Melt 3 minutes/80℃/speed 3
  • Add rest of ingredients and mix 3 minutes/dough setting
  • Pipe into donut trays and cook for 10-12 minutes
  • Cool in pans for 5 minutes then gently remove to cooling racks. Donuts will crisp after resting for half an hour


  • Melt butter and chocolate in microwave for 1 minute. Stir until smooth.
  • Add all ingredients to a mixer and beat for 3 minutes on medium.
  • Pipe into donut trays and cook for 10-12 minutes
  • Cool in pans for 5 minutes then gently remove to cooling racks. Donuts will crisp after resting for half an hour



    • Add eggs, sweetener, vanilla, cream and butter to TMX
    • Cook 7 minutes/90℃/speed 4
    • Add gelatin to 2 tbsp of hot water mix well. Pour a little of the hot custard into gelatin, then pour back into custard.
    • Cook further 1 minute/90℃/speed 4.
    • Remove and cool in fridge for 20 minutes.

    For conventional custard cook as you would any custard in a double boiler or microwave.


      1. Simply delicious. To make the custard any other flavour just change the sweetener to any other granular sweetener and add your flavourings.
      2. Store donuts in the fridge for up to 4 days.
      3. Donuts can be kept frozen for up to 1 month in an airtight container or ziplock bag.
