Chocolate Strawberry Clusters
Chocolate Yogurt Strawberry Clusters are a delicious combination of creamy Greek yogurt, fresh strawberries, and coated in melted chocolate. This simple viral dessert has gained popularity for its minimal ingredients and quick and easy preparation. The best bit is how easy it is to customise them! My healthy yogurt clusters recipe is sugar-free, low in carbs and high in protein. The recipe is so simple to “make your own,” and I am sure you are going to love these nearly as much as I do! 😂
Variations
- Fruit Variations: Make blueberry yogurt clusters, raspberry, (higher carb) mango and banana for a different fruity twist.
- Yogurt Flavors: Use flavored Greek yogurt, plain yogurt, protein yogurt, or even whipped cottage cheese for a high protein strawberry cluster!
- Nutty Additions: Incorporate chopped nuts like almonds or pistachios. Add seeds or coconut flakes. The options are endless.
- Sweeteners: Adjust the sweetness with sugar-free maple syrup, more sweetener or, as I prefer, sweetened whey protein isolate. The brand I use is naturally sweetened with thaumatin which is very low-carb and keto-friendly.
- Different chocolate: I used ChocZero White Chocolate Chips for these images. It was all I had at the time of making them. I added the tiniest pinch of my favourite Matcha Powder and dusted with another pinch of gold dust.

The Ingredients
- Greek Yogurt: I use full-fat plain Greek yogurt or my homemade sugar free strawberry yogurt recipe. You can use protein yogurt, strawberry yogurt, homemade yogurt or swap for mascarpone, quark, or whipped cottage cheese. I use unsweetened yogurts where possible. Use coconut yogurt or plant-based yogurt for a vegan yogurt cluster recipe.
- Powdered Sweetener: Sweetens the yogurt without grittiness. Alternatives include liquid sweeteners like monk fruit concentrate.
- Whey Protein Isolate: Enhances protein content and adds flavor. I use Amino Z flavoured whey protein isolate. It adds 30g of extra protein per scoop (each scoop is around 30g/1oz in weight). and sweetens the yogurt without any need for additional sweeteners added. It can be omitted or replaced with plant-based protein powders.
- Strawberries: Fresh strawberries offer the best texture, but frozen ones can be used if thawed and drained. Use any berry you like or add any mix-ins you love.
- Dark Chocolate Chips: Ensure they are sugar-free for a keto-friendly option. Milk chocolate or white chocolate can be used based on preference.
Pro Tips for Perfect Strawberry Clusters
Parchment Paper: Use parchment paper or a silicone lined baking sheet to prevent clusters from sticking to the tray. Personally, I prefer to use a silicone mould for mine as it takes care of keeping the yogurt bites uniform in size and easy to pop out and coat in chocolate.
Uniform Sizing: Keep clusters similar in size for even freezing and coating.
Quick Dipping: When coating with chocolate, work swiftly to prevent the yogurt from melting. The chocolate sets quickly, so if you are going to sprinkle with anything, do it quickly.
How to Make Yogurt Clusters

Step 1. In a bowl, combine Greek yogurt, sweetener or protein powder (if using). Stir until smooth.
Step 2. Gently fold in the chopped strawberries, making sure they’re evenly coated.

Step 3. Line a tray with parchment paper. Drop spoonfuls of the mixture onto the prepared baking sheet, keeping them nice and chunky.
Step 4. Place the tray in the freezer for 2-3 hours until the clusters are firm.

Step 5. Melt the dark chocolate with coconut oil (if using). Once the clusters are frozen, dip each one into the chocolate or drizzle generously over the top. Sprinkle with freeze dried strawberries, nuts, or a little gold dust like I did.
Step 6. Place back in the freezer for 10–15 minutes until the chocolate sets. Eat straight from the freezer. They are so awesome!

Tips
- Don’t make the clusters too thick. The thicker they are the harder they are to bite into.
- Work quickly when coating with chocolate to maintain the clusters’ shape.
- Ensure the yogurt mixture is well-chilled before dipping in chocolate to prevent melting.
Serving Suggestions
These chocolate covered strawberry yogurt clusters are versatile and can be enjoyed in various ways:

These are so quick but so tasty. The perfect little treat to finish off a meal or for an afternoon snack. That is if you can stop at one. I couldn’t โค๏ธ
These should be called yoghurt bombs, because they are the bomb! I make frozen yoghurt in my Ninja Creami and these are hands down better and easier than frozen yoghurt Iโve made in that! So simple and so quick, Iโve made it with vanilla protein powder and also with chocolate protein powder. I canโt wait to try other fruits.
Absolutely delicious and a big favourite of mine.
