What Is Dirty Chai Tea Latte?
A Dirty Chai Latte is a delicious fusion of two beloved beverages: chai tea and espresso. The drink combines the aromatic spices of chai with a bold kick of coffee, creating the perfect combination of flavours. The “dirty” part comes from adding espresso, which adds a rich depth to the spiced tea, making it a perfect pick-me-up.
Why You’ll Love It Dirty
I love this Dirty Chai Latte recipe because it’s the perfect blend of comfort and kick. It’s easy and ready in minutes. The spiced chai adds warmth, while the espresso offers a powerful punch—ideal for any time of the day. It is pretty tasty and I was really surprised just how much I loved it. This recipe is still gluten free, low carb and keto friendly.
The Ingredients
How To Make a Dirty Chai Latte
- Place 1 cup of water in a saucepan and bring to a boil. Add the tea bag (or loose chai tea in a tea infuser), chai spices and sweetener if using. Gently heat the mixture and then steep for about 5 minutes. Remove the tea bag.
- Meanwhile, heat milk in a separate pan over medium heat until it’s steaming but not boiling. Froth the milk using a whisk or a milk frother until it’s light and foamy. Alternatively, use a milk frother. Set aside.
- Prepare coffee. Pour the hot chai tea mixture into your serving cup, then add the espresso or coffee. Top it off with the frothed milk. Optionally, you can add a dollop of whipped cream and a sprinkle of additional Mad Creations Spice Mix for extra flavour. Enjoy your delicious dirty chai latte!
