The BEST Keto Bread Recipe with Almond Flour
The one thing most of us miss when we first change to a low-carb lifestyle is bread. The convenience of bread for sandwiches or even a simple grilled cheese sandwich toastie is something that can undo all our good intentions when we first start. This keto sandwich bread is a great substitute for the real thing.
Many low carb breads are very seedy. This recipe has no seeds. Yes, I have sprinkled a few sesame seeds on the top of my loaf, but that is because I love them.
I hope you give it a go and enjoy it as much as I have. It really is a great-tasting low carb bread that is perfect for sandwiches or even just served slathered in salty butter!

Tips & Tricks
- For all tablespoon measures, I use a metric tablespoon which is a 15 ml measure. I have also included the weights of the ingredients so your bread turns out perfect every time. Plus, it is also great if you are use a Thermomix to make this easy keto bread recipe.
- If you store eggs in the fridge here is my simple tip to quickly bring them to room temperature. Pop them into a large bowl and cover them with warm water. Leave them for 60 seconds in the water and this will take the chill off them. Room temperature eggs are the secret to keto bread without the eggy taste.
How Easy it to Make Keto Bread
Step 1. Preheat oven to 170℃ fan/190°C static (375°F). Line a 23 x 10 cm (9 x 4 inch) loaf pan. (I use a loaf pan with a lid). Add all ingredients to a large bowl and mix to combine well.
Step 2. Pour into the loaf pan. I use a loaf pan with a lid. Smooth over the top of the loaf with a wet spatula or wet fingers. If you don’t have one cover the pan with foil.
Step 3. Bake for 45-50 minutes. Remove the lid (or foil) for the last 5 minutes of baking.
Step 4. Transfer the loaf to a cooling rack and leave to cool completely before slicing.
FAQ’s and Hot Tips
You can swap it for more psyllium husk powder. I do not recommend changing the recipe though. I cannot detect the coconut flour or flavour in the bread at all.
Yes. Slice the bread into serves and freeze in a ziplock bag. Defrost in the fridge overnight or toast straight from frozen.
Yes. Almond flour bread is not a dough but more of a batter. Because it is gluten free and grain free it has a very different texture.

Going to try this today sounds yummy. Just to set my mind at ease. So net carbs are 1 if made and serving size as directed. At this stage in my weight loss I can’t waste 4 GMs carbs on a slice of bread. TIA
-
Yes Debra it is only 1g net carbs per slice.

Just made this for the second time. Delicious! Whisked the eggs the second time to get a slightly bigger rise ☺️
-
I must have done something wrong because my mixture poured into the tin and it wouldn’t score and the mixture just covered over again. It didn’t rise as much as the picture but the taste was there and it toasted well, so I have no idea what went wrong. I used my Thermi and everything got weighed even the eggs.

Hello Megan, I am enjoying a slice with butter and vegemite right now; and a creamy coffee alongside! What’s the penalty for not waiting the full cooling hour? 😉 Best Keto Bread I’ve tried so far! Thank you! -
I made this for the first time this morning and WOWSER! Its just perfect! I threw a wee bit of Basil in to sub the rosemary I didnt have and it tasted great. Happy with the non crumbly consistency which held up to my fave cheese on toast brekkie…Just a fabulous loaf of ‘like-real bread’-
Glad you like it Shelleen. I am pretty happy with this recipe.

Love, love, love this bread. It comes out nice and crispy. It also toasts well, and finally I can smear garlic on a keto bread that does not crumble; add butter, sardines and a bit of lemon juice, yum-
Oh yum! Now I may need to pop a tin of sardines in the fridge for tomorrow!

I really enjoyed this bread, it was really tasty and made wonderful toast! Really fixed my craving for toast and butter. It was also really easy to make sure will definitely become a regular on our menu. -
It’s really the best keto bread. It’s very tasty and great plain or as toast. I slice mine and keep it in the freezer for an easy sandwich or eggs on toast. So good to have something that will soak up egg yolk. -
A lovely well risen loaf. I chose to leave out the rosemary and enjoyed a slice with butter and Lchf lemon curd. Very simple recipe……thanks

Made this last night. Really easy to make and came out great.
Very nice bread. Dense but that’s how I like my bread. I left out the rosemary and didn’t feel it was missing anything. Hubby even liked and and sent a photo and the link to a Work colleague who is doing keto.
Will definitely be my staple bread recipe for the future.-
It is always good to hear that the hubby likes it. Most of them are harsh critics

This bread is so good. I’ve missed having Vegemite on toast and this bread toasts really well. It slices easily into 20 slices and also freezes really well. It passed the taste test with my family and eggs on toast or a chicken, cheese and avocado sandwich for breakfast or lunch is now possible thanks to this awesome new bread.
